China's port railway container center station setting
There are 18 railway container central stations planned in China, which are positioned as professional hubs for container services only. They are container railway distribution centers and trains to the place of origin. They have a complete list of editing, loading and unloading, logistics supporting services, washing and repairing boxes. Conditions, import and export customs declaration and inspection and other port comprehensive functions.
Among them, 9 central stations have a connection with the port. From north to south, Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chongqing, Ningbo, Guangzhou and Shenzhen basically cover China's major container terminals.
In addition, the Ministry of Transport and the former Ministry of Railways jointly selected six demonstration projects for the joint flow of iron and water in 2011: Dalian to Northeast China; Tianjin to North China, Northwest China; Qingdao to Zhengzhou and Longhai Line; Lianyungang to Along the Alashankou area; Ningbo to East China; Shenzhen to South China, Southwest.
However, neither the port nor the railway department has fully considered the development space for the connection of the two modes of transportation, nor has it established a customs supervision zone suitable for sea-rail combined transport.
